Starting Our Travels South to Warmer Weather

It's 12-5-09 and would you believe we woke up to snow on the ground here in Murfreesboro, TN. In less than 2 weeks we'll be heading south to hopefully sunny Florida and much warmer weather.

Our first stop will be Warner Robins AFB, GA for a one-nights stay, then it's on to Savannah, GA for 3 days and all the site seeing we can possibly do. Then we will be on to Jacksonville, FL for another one-nights stay and then on to Orlando where we'll be for 7 days. While in Orlando we'll be touring all the Disney Parks with our granddaughter Lydia and her parents John and Wendy. It's going to be a great time!

After leaving Orlando, we'll be heading for Palm Harbor, FL where we'll be staying for 3 months (January 1 - April 1). Becky and I are both looking forward to the rest and relaxation in a warmer climate. It will be our second time to spend time in the Bay Aire Campground and with a lot of friends we met there last winter. It's really like one big homecoming event the whole time we're there. We will be enjoying a lot of bike riding, walking on the beach and trails, and all the other things that go along with the warmer weather. We plan on purchasing some golf clubs and taking some lessons while there so look out Tiger Woods. :)

After departing Palm Harbor, we will head back to Tennessee for most of the month of April and then will head out west for who knows where until we get tired of traveling. We will have no schedule and will go wherever the road leads. As of now, we are planning on heading on into Canada and up into Alaska to see kids/grandkids. That trip will depend on the fuel prices. If they are too expensive, we will just have to cancel that part of the trip and fly up in a year or so. Should make it back to Tennessee in time for the holidays of 2010 and then get ready for the warmer temps in Florida again or possibly Arizona.

This is the life of our retired family and we plan on living it to the fullest for as long as the Lord will allow. Hey, someones got to do it, why not us!!

This will be an awesome way to stay in touch and be informed of 'what's happenin' now' wherever you are! Bless the Lord! Let the good times roll....love & blessings to you as you travel and minister to many with God's love.
